How we work
Good Life Construction has a unique approach whenever we custom-build homes in North Texas. View our latest projects, new builds in prime luxury locations like The Reserve at SugarTree in Brock.
Other areas where we build include towns and unincorporated areas with luxury amenities onsite or nearby, within easy commute to Fort Worth, including: Parker County, Palo Pinto County, Johnson County, and adjacent Texas counties where the demand for custom-build homes is growing.
We custom-build homes using a clear, easy process
Here is the process Good Life Construction follows when starting a custom build. Homes can be built on your land, or contact us for a consultation if you’d like assistance finding the perfect spot for your new home.
Step 1: Find your perfect lot or piece of land
When you first meet with Justin Hall of Good Life Construction, we’ll talk about where you want to build. Our crew covers a large area of North Texas surrounding the Metroplex. Visit our “Where We Build” page to learn more about the area we cover.
Step 2: Work with a local designer to create a plan
Good Life Construction facilitates our clients’ design-build custom home plans by partnering with local, experienced home designers who create detailed plan sets that make the building process straightforward. Avoid unexpected surprises during each phase of construction by choosing a designer from a list of referrals we’ll supply. Our most current projects, for example, feature the original work of Home Designs by Marcy in Granbury, TX.
Step 3: Preparing your home’s foundation and utilities
Based on the design you choose and the layout and location of your home site, Good Life Construction will begin clearing and preparing your site so that your new home rests on a stable foundation and features plenty of outdoor space suited to your family. Early in the build process, it’s important to consider how your home design will let in sunlight, what views are most important to you, and how to set up infrastructure like electric and water service and septic to maximize the functionality of your new home.
Step 4: Framing and rough-ins for luxury features, appliances
If you’ve always dreamed of having a built-in refrigerator or a professional-quality range, we’ll prepare your custom-build home’s structure for those specialty features during the framing and rough-in stages. You’ll have top-grade electrical and plumbing features exactly where you need them from the start. Love the grandeur of pocket doors or the modern look of custom-designed steel doors? We’ll make sure your foundation, framing, and layout are ready to accommodate all your favorite features at every step during construction.
Step 5: Interior finishes and personal touches
As the Good Life Construction crews build your home to your exact specifications, you’ll work with us to select all the interior and exterior finishes and fixtures that will act as the backdrop of your new custom-build home’s personality. We’ll guide you each step of the way to make sure your finishes work together to create the look and feel you’ve dreamed of for your home.
Step 6: Final finish-out and inspections
Once our crew has finished trim-out, painting, flooring, and final electrical and plumbing fixture installation and testing, Good Life Construction will continue to manage all permitting inspections and final approvals to prepare your home for move-in. You’ll have the opportunity to inspect your home and make sure everything is exactly the way you envisioned it.
Step 7: Move into your new home
The best part about custom-build homes is that your home will be perfect for you, from the start. Once your build is complete, Good Life Construction will manage landscaping and a thorough property clean-up so that you can take your keys and start enjoying your new home, right away. If you need referrals for local movers we trust, we’ll be happy to help.
